Obituary: Cody William Broderick, 35; Formerly Of Wallingford
Cody was passionate about our environment and climate change, and especially about finding ways for humans to exist more sustainably.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): With deepest sorrow, we announce that Cody William Broderick, 35, of Manhattan, New York, formerly Wallingford, Connecticut, passed suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021.
Cody was born on April 23, 1986, in New Haven, Connecticut to Edward and Deirdre (Eady) Broderick. Cody grew up in Wallingford, Connecticut, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Green Mountain College, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. Just before the pandemic, Cody began the career he had worked so hard for as an Operations Analyst at Konica Minolta in New Jersey.
Cody was passionate about our environment and climate change, and especially about finding ways for humans to exist more sustainably. It was this passion that guided Cody to attend college in Vermont. Cody loved experiencing the diversity of our planet. Cody spent time learning about our world by traveling to Mexico, Central America, Brazil, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Turkey.

Back in the States, Cody was as comfortable in Manhattan as he was at an isolated campsite in the wilderness. Cody was also an avid reader, a runner, and above all else, he loved spending time with his family and his friends who hail from all corners of the globe.
Cody was an extraordinary person and this loss is unfathomable for those who knew and loved him.

Cody is survived by his father, Edward Broderick, his wife, Azi, his sister and brother-in-law, Colleen (Broderick) and Adam Valentine, his brother Kyle Broderick, his step-brother Christopher Cutler, his nieces Finley and Maeve Valentine, his nephew Maxfield Valentine, his paternal grandmother, Ruth (Kelley) Broderick, his maternal grandfather, William Eady, his aunts and uncles, Ruth (Broderick) and Jeff Pranno, Daryl Eady, Dale (Eady) and Eugene Bloxsom, and David Eady, as well as cousins and many friends.
Cody was predeceased by his mother, Deirdre (Eady) Broderick, his paternal grandfather Edward Broderick, his maternal grandmother Cynthia (Garnaus) Booth, and his uncle William Broderick.
Cody’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A celebration of Cody’s life will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday during visiting hours with a reception to follow.
