Obituary: Dana (Montefiore) Knickerbocker, 49, of Yalesville
She volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher and was also employed as a pharmacy technician at Hancock Pharmacy.

Dana (Montefiore) Knickerbocker, 49, of Yalesville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in her home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey Knickerbocker.
Dana was born in Meriden, April 18, 1967, a daughter of William Montefiore and Florence (Singer) Montefiore of Meriden. She was a graduate of Platt High School and Trinity College, Hartford.

Dana worked for the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles before leaving for New Mexico to be with her husband at his first active duty assignment with the U.S. Air Force at Cannon AFB in New Mexico. When she returned to Connecticut, she became very active in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Cheshire, where she volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher and treasurer of the Episcopal Christian Women’s Group. She was also employed as a pharmacy technician at Hancock Pharmacy.
Besides her husband of over 19 years, she is survived by her daughter Bethany, her son Daniel. She is also survived by her brother David Montefiore, and his wife Ann, and their two children Christopher and Jenna. In addition, she is survived by her mother-in-law Brenda Knickerbocker and her father in law Roger Knickerbocker of Manchester. She leaves behind many other family and friends too numerous to mention, but who loved her very much.
