Obituary: David G. 'Hawk' Cella, 87, Of Wallingford

David, a lifelong farmer, operated Hillsview Dairy in Wallingford. He enjoyed horse racing and trips to the casino.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home): David G. “Hawk” Cella, 87, of Wallingford, died peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his home.

He was the loving husband of the late Joan (Wilson) Cella.

David was born October 19, 1933, a son of the late Paul and Louise (Forlini) Cella and was a lifelong farmer, having operated Hillsview Dairy on Durham Rd. in Wallingford.

He enjoyed horse racing and trips to the casino, especially with his late friend, Robert Cerrotti.

He is survived by his children and their spouses. Lorraine and David Mikosz of South Carolina, Diane and Michael Misiorski of Wallingford, and Steven and Gina Cella of Florida; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Annette Cella of Madison; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Sally Wilson of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Eleanor Cella; and his special friend, Robert Cerrotti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Monday, December 21, at 9:30 am at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
