Obituary: David J. Del Bene II, 38, of Wallingford
He was a 2000 graduate of Lyman Hall High School and worked at Home Depot for the past several years.

David J. Del Bene II, 38, of Wallingford, was called home on March 6, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer at MidState Medical Center.
He was the beloved son of David Del Bene Sr., and the late Sharon (Dombroski) Del Bene, and loving brother of Melissa Del Bene. He is also survived by his uncles, Kenneth Del Bene and Arthur Del Bene of Bridgeport; and his aunts, Barbara Roberge of California and Gail Ondy of Bridgeport; as well as several other family members.

David was born April 3, 1981, and was a longtime Wallingford resident. He was a 2000 graduate of Lyman Hall High School and was employed by Home Depot as a Customer Service Representative for the past several years. Dave lived his life with honesty and sarcasm. He was never afraid to speak his mind or be himself. He loved to spend time with animals, take day trips, read, play cards, watch his favorite TV shows and super hero movies, shop, journal and visit his coworkers. He will be forever missed.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wednesday, March 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
