Obituary: Jessie M. Katz, 38, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Jessie M. Katz (Miller), 38, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at MidState Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family after suffering with a long illness that she fought with impressive strength to the absolute end. She was born on February 2, 1983, in Meriden, Connecticut; a daughter to Jeffrey and Madeline (Maringola) Miller.

Jessie was easy-going, had a great sense of humor, and a kind heart. She enjoyed writing, participating in online support groups, and being out and about, whether it was shopping or making her coffee run. Her time with us was shortened, but the memories of her will be cherished and she will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Jessie is survived by her four beautiful children, Jared Ahern, Samantha Katz, Victor Katz, and Olivia Wotton; her sisters Rebecca (Todd) French and Madeline (Jay) Rossi; her brother Jeffrey (Karen) Miller; her maternal grandparents Carole Hobson and Thomas Maringola; her paternal grandmother Phyllis Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Richard Miller Sr.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
