Obituary: John P. Juliano, 87, of Wallingford
John served in the U.S. Navy, worked as a Wallingford Police Officer and also as a General Foreman for the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Company.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) John P. Juliano, 87, of Wallingford, was called by the Lord on December 2, 2020 at Masonicare after a battle with Covid-19.
John was the loving husband of Stephanie (Cerri) Juliano for 65 years.
He was born in Wallingford on February, 28, 1933, a son of John and Juli Juliano.
John graduated from Lyman Hall High School.

He worked at Beaumont Farm in Wallingford as a teenager and eventually joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served on the Destroyer, USS Hyman, for four years, toward the end of the Korean War, obtaining the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.
Upon leaving the Navy he spent twelve years as a Police Officer for the Town of Wallingford.

He then transitioned to a career at the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Company in Wallingford where he held numerous supervisory positions eventually retiring after 28 years as General Foreman.
He especially enjoyed his time there.
He spent almost his entire life residing in Wallingford and Meriden.
John was a man of high character who always wanted the limelight to shine on his family and not himself while, at the same time, he always had their back.
As a skilled handyman he enjoyed working around the house and garage.
His real joy were the years he spent with his wife Stephanie travelling and getting together with friends. He was especially fond of their many years spent at their vacation home in Sarasota, FL.
His children and grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
A true and devoted family man he would drop anything to help. He guided and supported his family through his unconditional love.
He had a way of making each of us individually feel special and that will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Stephanie, he is survived by a son, Jay (Cheryl) Juliano; granddaughters Kristina Juliano, Kelsey (Adam) Bellemare, Great-granddaughters, Lily and Alessia Bellemare; and nephews, Mark (Paulette)Buongirno, Frank (Kim) Buongirno and the Reverend Robert Buongirno.
John was predeceased by his daughter Valerie and his Sister Jean.
Due to the ongoing pandemic his funeral with military honors will be livestreamed on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm.
