Obituary: John P. O’Sullivan, 86, of Wallingford

John served in the U.S. Army, worked as an accountant for many years and was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) John P. O’Sullivan, 86, of Wallingford, loving husband of the late Mary (Forde) O’Sullivan, died peacefully, Friday, December 11, 2020, at his home.

He was born in Waltham, MA, July 17, 1934, a son of the late John P. O’Sullivan Sr. and Catherine (Roche) O’Sullivan, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. O’Sullivan was employed as an Accountant until his retirement and had been a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diane M. and Kevin D. Pickering of Middletown; his son, David M. O’Sullivan of Naugatuck; and his four grandchildren, Sarah E. Pickering, Kayla A. Pickering, Meghan A. O’Sullivan and Kelsey P. O’Sullivan.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen O’Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 15, at 10:30 am directly at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford.

Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. (COVID precautions will be followed and masks required at the services) Gifts in John’s memory may be sent to the hospice team that cared for John: Hartford Healthcare at Home, 1290 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
