Judith Ellen Anderson, 68, of Wallingford, died unexpectedly, Saturday, September 30, 2017. She peacefully passed away at MidState Medical Center. Judith was born October 9, 1948, in New Haven, at St. Raphael’s Hospital. Judith was predeceased by her loving parents Doris and Ernest Anderson.
Judy was a long-time resident of West Haven, where she resided since her childhood. She graduated from the University of New Haven with a Master’s degree in Business. Judith was employed at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 34 years in the finance department. Judy retired and lived in Wallingford, where she enjoyed her close circle of friends.

She loved to cook and enjoyed decorating for the holidays. Judy loving playing scrabble and cards with her friends on Saturdays. She also loved photography and spent a lot of her spare time taking pictures. Judy was a world traveler, loved the piano, enjoyed fine dining and was an avid television shopping network fan. Judy was very proud of her Irish heritage and Saint Patrick’s Day was her favorite holiday.
Judy was a Rainbow girl from age 13 to 20 years old. She then would take on the role as Martha as an Eastern Star Member. Judy enjoyed their monthly meetings and being part of such a special group of people. She was a member of the CTOES Ashlar Chapter No. 116 for many years.

Judith departs this life with peace in her heart and faith in her soul. Judith loved the saying “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” –Maya Angelou. Judy was loved immensely and she will be greatly missed by her dear friends, whom she cherished.
