Obituary: Lynnmarie (Cross) Girouard, 51, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Lynnmarie (Cross) Girouard, 51, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly, on September 7, 2020.

She was born in Meriden, CT, on August 2, 1969, a daughter of the late Leland A. and Margret M. “Peggy” (Morse) Cross. For those who loved Lynn, they knew she was kind, compassionate, free spirited and full of life.

She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was an animal lover, enjoyed cooking and crafting.

Family was everything to her.

She is survived by her children, Jill Marie Canalia of Meriden, CT and Dina Marie Canalia of West Haven, CT; her sister and best friend, Christine A. (Cross) Milbrandt of North Haven, CT. Jason Tolla (Hannah) of Massachusetts, Jerilyn Tolla (Josh) of Wallingford, CT, Tanisha Cross of New Britain, CT, Gabriel Diaz of Florida; four great nieces; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and her best friend Marybeth Sunseri.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Leon Girouard and her service dog Mya. She will be loved and missed by all.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 2 pm to 4 pm. (Due to COVID-19 precautions will be followed and masks are required).
