Obituary: Patricia J. Thomas, 67, of Wallingford

Patricia was a member of the YMCA, the Historical Society and a volunteer at the Wallingford Public Library and Quinnipiac River Trail.

Patricia J. Thomas, 67, of Wallingford, wife of Paul U. Thomas of Wallingford, died unexpectedly, October 11, 2016 in Lancaster Hospital.

She was born in Newark, New Jersey on November 9, 1948, a daughter of the late William and Grace Tintle Jamieson.

She worked in the insurance industry starting with Travelers in 1981 until her retirement from Met life in 2013. She was an active member of the Wallingford community as a member of the YMCA, the Historical Society and a volunteer at the Wallingford Public Library and Quinnipiac River Trail.

She is remembered for her love of travel, holidays, cooking, her family by blood or love, the "kid" 4th of July celebrations, her morning Y routine and always positive enthusiastic attitude.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gunn of Wallingford; her son, Gregory Thomas and his wife Mary of Meriden; her sister, Jean Kenny of Spring Lake, New Jersey; her brothers, William Jamieson of Somerville, New Jersey and Richard Jamieson of Cranbury, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Carolyn, William, Meredith, Delaney, Ryan, Noah, Samantha, and Emily; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and Bob Jamieson.
