Obituary: Philip S. Pender Sr., 62, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Philip S. Pender Sr., 62, passed away peacefully January 7th, 2021.

He is survived by his Wife of 40 years, Maryellen Pender, his daughter, Jessica Pender, his son Philip Pender Jr and his three cherished grandchildren, Dominic, Antonio and Nevaeh Candelaria all of Homosassa, FL.

Phil grew up in Wallingford CT and leaves behind a large family which includes many nieces and nephews as well as 4 brothers and two sisters: Harry Pender, Gary Pender, Wendy Liseo, Daniel Pender, Tammy Olsen, and Thomas Pender.

He was pre-deceased by his niece Selena Pender of NC, and his loving Parents, Harry Pender Sr and Phyllis Marenna Pender of Wallingford.

Phil was a self-employed entrepreneur with many skills and talents. He was a people person with a big personality and truly enjoyed life.

Phil was an avid collector, a gardener, a Biker and a pretty talented cook. Phil especially loved to cook using the recipes he learned from his Mom.

Phil spent several happy years traveling to social events with his food trailer and serving up his favorite recipes.

Phil will be missed by his family and friends. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts could be made in Phil’s name to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity.
