Obituary: ​Ralph Scala, 75, of Wallingford

He worked for 35 years at Heise Industries and was a dedicated person who truly cared for his children and grandchildren.

Ralph Scala 75 of Wallingford, formerly of East Haven passed away on February 17, 2017 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden with his family by his side.

He was born September 30, 1941 in New Haven to Ralph and Elizabeth (Arcucci) Scala. Ralph is survived by his two loving children, Danielle Jalbert of Wallingford and Paul Scala (Tina) of Florida along with four grandchildren, Kristen Jalbert, Megan Jalbert, Paul Scala Jr., and Anna Scala. He is also survived by his siblings, Rose O’Keefe (John) of North Haven, Vincent Scala of East Haven, Ronald Scala of East Haven and Louis Scala (Michelle) of East Haven. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jennifer Laudano and sister Connie Vitale.

Ralph was a caring, generous person who loved simple things and caring for those around him. He worked for thirty-five years at Heise Industries and was a dedicated person who truly cared for his children and grandchildren. Following up on their interests and activities are truly what gave him the most joy. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM (Noon) in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with private Committal.
