Obituary: Robert F. ‘Kal’ Kaliscak, 73; Former Wallingford Resident
Robert was employed as a truck driver for Len-Crete, Lily Transportation, and Whole Foods.

Robert F. Kaliscak, 73, of Middletown, formerly of Wallingford, loving husband of Rosemary (Rice) Kaliscak, passed away, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Robert was born in New Haven, September 8, 1943, the son of the late Felix Kaliscak and Stella (Gross) Kaliscak and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. Robert was employed as a truck driver for Len-Crete, Lily Transportation, and Whole Foods. After retirement, “Kal” enjoyed time spent with his beloved grandchildren, maintaining his large vegetable garden, traveling and watching the UCONN Women’s Basketball games. When he was not outside, he was in the kitchen testing out new recipes for his family and listening to his favorite “Doo Wop Music.”

In addition to his wife Rosemary, he is survived by his three daughters Jeannine Mollica and Joe DiFiore of Wallingford, Kathleen Kaliscak and her husband Kenneth Lignelli of Hamden and Suzanne Blanchard of Wallingford; 5 grandchildren Joshua, Kailey, Milo, Stella and Lucas; his two aunts Helen Kuhn and her husband John of Wallingford and Virginia Gross of Cheshire. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Christopher Blanchard.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held in The Wallingford Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
