Officials Expect Lyman Hall Athletic Complex Project to Move Forward
The architect of the project recently withdrew an application to the town's Planning and Zoning Commission.

Despite a recent delay in which the architect withdrew an application to the Planning and Zoning Commission, officials are confident construction on the new athletic complex at Lyman Hall will move forward and begin in the summer of 2015, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports that the proposed complex will mirror the one at Sheehan and the plans include the installation of an artificial turf and a larger eight-lane asphalt track with rubber coating; track and field equipment would also be installed both end zones of the football field along with the construction of a building to house athletic and maintenance equipment; and a new lighting system.
Building and Grounds Supervisor Marc Deptula told the Record-Journal that the Planning and Zoning Commission could discuss the project at a September meeting.
