Parking Ban Announced For Construction Project In Wallingford
Police announce the ban will be in effect for a milling and paving project.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Police have announced temporary no parking prohibitions that will be in effect for the milling and paving of North Main Street and South Elm Street beginning next week. Crews will be milling and paving the entire lengths of both North Main Street and South Elm Street.
The milling work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 29 and, once completed, the paving process will begin on or about Aug. 11. This prohibition will be in effect between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily while work is being performed, according to police.
“A temporary no parking prohibition will be in place on both roadways during this milling and paving project,” Lt. Anthony DeMaio wrote in a news release. “The affected areas will be appropriately posted in advance. As the project moves from one section of roadway to another the signage will be moved accordingly in advance.
