Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run: Wallingford Police
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the incident, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in Wallingford, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Quinnipiac Street and Route 5 around 6:50 p.m. on the report of a possible hit-and-run where a pedestrian was struck, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.
Jaques said officers found a man with a head injury lying in the road. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to Jaques.

Quinnipiac Street was closed from Route 5 to North Cherry Street, but has reopened, Jaques said in an update around 9 p.m.
Jaques said the man involved is approximately 67 years old. He has serious injuries that Jaques said aren't life-threatening.
