Petitioning Candidate Ready To Challenge Longtime Wallingford Mayor
Businessman Donald Kennedy, 70, is on the ballot as an Independent candidate.

After successfully petitioning to be on the ballot as an Independent candidate, Donald Kennedy is ready to challenge longtime Wallingford Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr.
Dickinson, a Republican, has been mayor since 1984 and was running for his 17th consecutive term until Kennedy qualified for the ballot.
Kennedy, 70, is a businessman who consults with companies to help them operate more efficiently and would take the same approach to town government, according to the New Haven Register.
