Phil Davis Becomes Managing Partner at Wireless Zone of Wallingford

Phil Davis, a ten year wireless technology veteran, joined Wireless Zone of Wallingford as the store manager in 2012. Recently, in January of 2014, he became an official partner in the store. “Phil joined the team with the credentials to be a fantastic manager, but he quickly captured our attention and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to invite him to permanently position himself in the store as the newest partner,” says owner Steve Nowak.

Davis’s goal has always been to develop his own company and grow it into a successful small business. His expertise in wireless communication transpired during his career at Best Buy as a General Manager. After seven years of service, Davis left Best Buy and accepted the position as manager and future partner at the Wireless Zone of Wallingford in 2012.

Since acquiring Phil as their team lead, Wireless Zone of Wallingford has grown tremendously. Their numbers for personal and business accounts have increased significantly and will continue to do so. He hopes to continue to grow not only the company, but their involvement in giving back to the local community as well.

Wireless Zone donated over $200,000 in 2013 to local organizations. With the help of the community at local fairs and festivals, the team in Wallingford raised funds for the Wallingford Little League, Visiting Nurses Association, American Lung Society and several other nonprofits this year.

The Wireless Zone Foundation for Giving® Inc. also gave grants to over 45 organizations in 2013, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation CT, Channel 3 Kids Camp and Goodwin College. Wireless Zone applauds each of these organizations for their community dedication, and hopes to further support their nonprofit endeavors in the upcoming year

Davis is not only a newlywed, but also became a father to a healthy baby boy on February 21st. “I am the father to two beautiful girls and now my first son. My family is my world. I want the customers at Wireless Zone to feel like they are a part of that family every time they come in."
