Report: Pit Bull Stolen from Yard in Wallingford

A woman is searching for Moose, her 1-year-old pit bull, after she disappeared from the kennel in her yard.

A Wallingford woman is searching for her 1-year-old black-and-white female pit bull, Moose, who she says was stolen from her yard late last week.

Erika Kee told the Meriden Record-Journal that she forgot to lock the gate for the kennel in her yard before she ran out to a store Thursday afternoon. She said the door was closed and Moose and Alize, a chihuahua greyhound mix, were inside the kennel.

But when Kee returned home about an hour and a half later, she said only Alize was in the kennel and Moose was nowhere to be found, according to the Record-Journal.

Kee filed a report with police on Saturday that Moose was stolen, but told the Record-Journal that police said they can’t do much unless she finds the person who has the dog.
