Road Closure, Traffic Flow Changes Announced For 2017 Car Show In Wallingford
Wallingford Police announce several traffic flow changes and parking restrictions that will be in effect for the car show.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police have announced several traffic flow changes and parking restrictions that will be in effect due to an upcoming car show. The 2017 Car Show, which is part of Wallingford’s 350th Jubilee Event Series, will take place on Saturday, June 24 with a rain date of June 25.
The following traffic flow and parking restrictions will be in effect from 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 24 (with a rain date of June 25). (To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
TRAFFIC FLOW CHANGES:

- Center Street will be CLOSED to all motor vehicle traffic between North Whittlesey Avenue and Route 5. Detours will be clearly posted.
- Meadow Street will be TWO-WAY motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Church Street, and the intersection of Center Street, to accommodate Meadow Street residents and businesses.
- William Street will be TWO-WAY motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Church Street, and the intersection of Center Street, to accommodate William Street residents and businesses.
- North Orchard Street will be TWO-WAY motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Church Street, and the intersection of Center Street, to accommodate North Orchard Street residents and businesses.
- North Whittlesey Avenue will remain ONE-WAY motor vehicle traffic.
PARKING PROHIBITIONS:
There will no On-Street Parking at all locations and times noted above to facilitate the two-way traffic. Police Officers will be posted at specific locations to facilitate orderly traffic flow.

Police remind motorists that vehicles parked in violation of these prohibitions will be subject to the issuance of a parking ticket by police and removal by tow truck.
