Road Closures Announced for Celebrate Wallingford Event
The Celebrate Wallingford festivities take place this weekend; police announce road closures and parking prohibitions that will be in effect

WALLINGFORD, CT — With the annual Celebrate Wallingford festivities set to take place this weekend, Wallingford Police announce road closures and parking prohibitions that will be in effect for all vehicular traffic.
Road Closures are as follows:
• South Main Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Center Street, and the intersection of Prince Street, from Friday Sept. 30 at 12 noon to Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m.

• North Main Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Center Street, and the intersection of Church Street, from Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m.
• Simpson Court will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic from Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6 a.m. to Sunday October 2, at 8 p.m.

• Hall Avenue will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between its intersection with North Colony Road and the Amtrak Train crossing, on Saturday, Oct. 1 between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Parking prohibitions will be in place on South Main Street, North Main Street, Simpson Court and Hall Avenue at the above noted times and locations in anticipation of the road closures. Please be reminded that vehicles parked in violation of this prohibition will be subject to the issuance of a parking ticket by police and removal by tow truck.
