Road Closures Announced For Wallingford Tree Lighting Event
Police announce several road closures and parking bans that will be in effect during the Seasons of Celebration event and Tree Lighting.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police have announced several road closures and parking bans that will be in effect during the Seasons of Celebration Event and Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event, which is sponsored by the Wallingford Public Celebrations Committee, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7. Read more from Wallingford Police below:
Road Closures as follows:
South Main Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Center Street and the intersection of Prince Street, on Saturday, Dec. 7, between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Hall Avenue will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of North Colony Road (Rt. 5) and east of the Amtrak railroad crossing, on Saturday, Dec.7, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

In anticipation of the road closures, there will be no parking on South Main Street between Center Street and Prince Street beginning at 11:30 a.m. and for the duration of the event, and no parking on Hall Avenue east of the Amtrak railroad crossing beginning at 5 p.m. for the duration of the ceremony. Please be reminded that vehicles parked in violation of this prohibition will be subject to the issuance of a parking ticket by police and removal by tow truck.
