Shuttered Nursing Home To Be Converted To Apartments In Wallingford
Plans to redevelop a shuttered nursing home into apartments have been approved in Wallingford, according to a report.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Planning and Zoning Commission this week approved plans to redevelop a shuttered former nursing home into market-rate apartments, according to the Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports plans call for the former Quinnipiac Valley Center at 55 Kondracki Lane to be converted to 71 market-rate apartment units.
The Quinnipiac Valley Center, a 180-bed skilled nursing facility, was ordered closed by the state in March 2022, and nearly 100 residents were transferred due to the facility’s “repeated and ongoing failure to correct serious and widespread health and safety issues,” state health officials said at the time.
