State Legislators Sponsoring Worn American Flag Collection Drive
State Reps. Lezlye Zupkus (R-89) & Craig Fishbein (R-90) encourage residents to honorably retire any worn American flags during the drive.
WALLINGFORD, CT— From Representative Craig Fishbein - CT House Republicans: State Representatives Lezlye Zupkus (R-89) and Craig Fishbein (R-90), in cooperation with American Legion R.A. Storrs Post #92, encourage residents to honorably retire any worn American flags during a flag collection drive.
The collection drive begins on Thursday, May 30th and will run until Thursday, June 13th. A drop-off box is located inside the Cheshire Town Hall, located at 84 Main Street.
Collected flags will be brought to the American Legion Post for dignified disposal during a proper retirement ceremony.

The U.S. Flag Code specifies that old or worn American flags no longer in service must be properly disposed, and Zupkus and Fishbein are partnering to proudly offer this service.
