Storm Branch Pickup Announced In Wallingford
Officials announce a special one-time only pickup of branches and twigs from this week's storm.

WALLINGFORD, CT — As the cleanup from Tuesday’s major storm continues around town, the Wallingford Department of Public Works has announced a special brush-only pickup due to the storm. The pickup will begin on Monday, May 21 for the public streets in all sections of Wallingford. Officials are asking residents to place any materials to be picked up by the curbside no later than Sunday, May 20. Read more from the press release below:
BRANCHES and TWIGS ONLY will be collected and must meet the following conditions:
No branch more than 6 feet long or 6 inches in diameter will be accepted.

Items placed at the curb must be light enough for one person to put in a truck.
This is a ONE-TIME ONLY pickup. The Department of Public Works will not go back to any street that has already been picked up. Those residents who miss the pickup may take their brush to the Compost Center on John Street at no charge.

Compost Area Hours
- April 1 — November 30
- 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Thursday
- 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Saturday
