SUV Strikes Teen On Bike In Wallingford

The 14-year-old boy was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries on Wednesday night.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A 14-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV while riding his bike on Hall Avenue in Wallingford on Wednesday evening.

Wallingford Police responded to the scene around 7:40 p.m. and the boy was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports the driver of the SUV, an unidentified Southington resident, didn’t stay at the scene but later called Southington Police to report he may have hit something.

No charges have been filed against the driver as of Thursday morning, according to the Register. Wallingford Police are continuing to investigate and anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call 203-294-2805.
