Tax Increase Possible As Wallingford’s Grand List Drops: Report

Wallingford saw a drop in the 2017 taxable grand list.

WALLINGFORD, CT — In light of a 0.62 percent drop in the town’s 2017 taxable grand list, Wallingford Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr. says spending cuts or tax increases will be necessary, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports the drop in the grand list, in which the town will generate approximately $750,000 less in revenue next fiscal year, was largely attributed to a settlement with Bristol-Myers Squibb over the assessment of its campus.
