Tobacco Purchasing Age Increases In Wallingford
The Town Council has approved raising the minimum age to purchase tobacco products in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford will become the fifth municipality in Connecticut to raise the minimum age for purchasing tobacco products from 18 to 21 following a vote of the Town Council this week, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports the council approved the new ordinance, which includes e-cigarettes, by a 6-2 vote with Craig Fishbein and Joseph Marrone voting no.
