Traditional American Folk Music at Wallingford Public Library

Rick Spencer will perform traditional American folk music at the Wallingford Public Library on Friday, February 12.

The public is invited to Wallingford Public Library for an evening of traditional American folk music performed by Rick Spencer on Friday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. The library is located at 200 North Main Street, Wallingford, CT.

Rick is known internationally for his work as a historian, researcher, singer, songwriter and performer of music in the American folk tradition. For 30 years he has traveled and performed at venues which include concert stages, folk festivals, museums, historical societies, schools, libraries, and pubs in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. He sings and accompanies himself on a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, concertina, mandolin, dulcimer, and button accordion. He is recognized internationally as an authority on the history and presentation of traditional sea music and chanteys.

This concert is the first in the coffee-house series of musical performances at the library. Refreshments will be available and Rick’s CDs will be available for purchase. Advance registration is appreciated. All programs and events at Wallingford Public Library are free and open to the public however seating is limited.
