Traffic Stop Nets Cocaine Bust

A Wallingford pair was arrested on multiple drug charges following a motor vehicle stop on Tuesday.

It started with a minor motor vehicle charge and ended in a felony drug arrest for a couple of Wallingford residents.

Brandy Warren, 36, and Kevin Warren, 34, both of 29 Cornwell Road, were taken into custody Tuesday evening after police said they were in possession of 11 grams of cocaine, oxycodone pills and drug paraphernalia.

It started when the pair was pulled over in the area of Lake Street around 5 p.m. after police noticed the operator, Brandy Warren, was known to be driving under suspension., said Lt. Mark Mikulski, Wallingford police spokesman. Kaven Warren was a passenger in the car.

During the course of the traffic stop, police said they uncovered the cocaine, prescription pills and paraphernalia in the car.

On top of this, police held arrest warrants for both Kevin and Brandy Warrant for previous charges of selling narcotics, Mikulski said.

Kevin Warren was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was held on a total $10,000 bond.

Brandy Warren was charged with possession of less than half an ounce of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating under suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. She was held on a total $6,000 bond.

Both are due in Meriden Superior Court on April 17.
