Train Station in Wallingford to Get Auto Snow-Melt Platform

Train stations in Meriden and Wallingford will have a new automatic snow-melt system to clear platforms of snow and ice.

The system heats antifreeze fluid that is pumped underneath concrete, according to the Record-Journal.

The system is touted as one that will save money and keep train station workers safer.
