Unique EV Charging Facility Approved In Wallingford: Report

The approved development could be the first of its kind in the U.S., according to a report.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Plans for a privately developed electric vehicle charging facility were approved this week by the Wallingford Planning & Zoning Commission, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

The Hartford Business Journal reports the facility, which would be devoted exclusively to charging electric vehicles and includes a 3,000-square-foot convenience-style store retail building, will be built on a 2.04-acre vacant lot at 1 Miles Drive in Wallingford.

Officials said the development could be the first of its kind in the U.S., according to the Hartford Business Journal.
