Wallingford to Begin Bagged Leaf Collection on Nov. 23

The Wallingford Public Works Department will begin its bagged leaf pickup on Monday, Nov. 23.
All leaves to be picked up must be placed at the curb in paper leaf bags, sealed with masking tape only, if needed. Bagged leaves need to be at the curb no later than Sunday, Nov. 23.
This is a one-time pickup of leaves only. Brush, trash or garden waste will not be accepted. Residents who miss the pickup can take leaves to the Compost Area (157 John Street) at no charge.

The town reminds residents not to rake leaves into the gutters per Ordinance #380.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday (closed on Thanksgiving Day) — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Compost Center hours from Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 to Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 are as follows:
Monday, Thursday, Saturday — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Compost Center will be closed from Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 to Saturday, March 14, 2015.
