Road Closures Announced For Wallingford Jubilee Week
Police are advising residents of several road closures that will be in effect during the 350th Jubilee Week celebrations in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police have announced the schedule of road closures that will be in effect during the 350th Jubilee Week celebrations in Wallingford.
Jubilee Parade, Saturday, June 18
The Jubilee Parade will start at approximately 1:30 p.m. from Moses Y. Beach Elementary School on North Main Street and conclude at Lyman Hall High School on Pond Hill Road. All affected roadways have been posted.

Please keep in mind, once the roads are closed, no vehicles will be allowed on the parade route. Those on the parade route who need to leave their residence should make prior arrangements.

History and Diversity Day, Monday, June 20
History and Diversity Day will be held at the Wallingford Historical Society, 180 South Main Street. South Main Street will be closed from its intersection with Ward Street to its intersection with Prince Street starting at approximately 6:30 a.m. The road is expected to be reopened around 11 a.m.
Youth Day and Block Dance, Friday, June 24
Youth Day and a Block Dance will take place fronting Town Hall, 45 South Main Street. South Main Street will be closed from its intersection with Center Street to its intersection with Prince Street starting at approximately 12 noon. The road is expected to be reopened around 10 p.m.
Jubilee Fireworks, Friday, June 24
The Jubilee Fireworks Celebration will take place at Sheehan High School. The fireworks will follow the same format as the town’s annual July 4th fireworks celebration to include the same road closures. A detailed list of closures and parking prohibitions will be issued the week of June 20.
