Wallingford Man Charged With Credit Card Fraud At Movie Theater

North Haven Police say three men used fake credit cards to purchase more than $1,200 worth of gift cards from the Cinemark movie theater.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Wallingford man was arrested after police say he, along with two other men, used fake credit cards to purchase more than $1,200 worth of gift cards from the Cinemark movie theater on Universal Drive in North Haven in April.

During the investigation, North Haven Police learned that the three men traveled to four different Cinemark locations to make the fraudulent purchases.

Yvan Medina, 24, of Wallingford, was identified as one of the suspects and was arrested on a warrant on Jan. 3.

Medina was charged with credit card fraud, conspiracy, illegal furnishing of goods, and unlawful reproduction of credit cards. Medina was held on a $75,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Friday morning.
