Wallingford Man Fired From Town Job For Alleged Insurance Fraud

The man is accused of committing health insurance fraud in a scheme over a two-year period.

A town man has been fired from his job with the Wallingford Electric Division for allegedly costing the town more than $28,000 in fraudulent health insurance claims over a two-year period, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports James Cei, 49, of 53 Parker Street, was terminated on July 20 from his position in the customer service department of the Electric Division.

Cei was charged with health insurance fraud and has yet to enter a plea, according to the Record-Journal.
