Wallingford Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charge: Feds

The man was arrested on federal child pornography charges, according to authorities.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal child pornography charge, according to authorities. Eric Rundstrom, 45, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in New Haven to one count of receipt and possession of child pornography, U.S. States Attorney for Connecticut John H. Durham announced.

An FBI investigation found that Rundstrom had “accessed an online website to connect with others interested in collecting and sharing images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children,” according to a news release.

“Investigators discovered a link to an online file hosting account associated with Rundstrom where hundreds of images and videos of child pornography had been stored, including images of adult males sexually abusing prepubescent females,” officials wrote in the release.

Rundstrom was arrested on a federal criminal complaint on Feb. 14, 2019. Rundstrom is scheduled to be sentenced June 3 at which time he faces a maximum term of 20 years in prison, according to officials. He was released on a $25,000 bond pending sentencing.
