A Wallingford man returned home to find police at his house and ended up arrested on drug charges.

Wallingford Police went to 14 Celestial Lane at about 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7 to assist the Meriden Police Department with serving a warrant.

Based on their interaction with Quigley, the officers believed that he was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A subsequent search of his vehicle and person yielded 33 bags of heroin (7.9 grams), less than ½ ounce of marijuana, a marijuana grinder and 3 ½ Clonazepam pills, according to Bradley.

Quigley, who was not the person wanted by Meriden Police, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Quigley was released after posting a $10,000 bond and is due in court on Jan. 14.
