NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Wallingford man is suing police officers in North Haven and East Haven on claims that they fabricated probable cause to arrest him in connection to a gas station robbery in North Haven due to personal vendettas, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports Joseph Arcangelo claims in the lawsuit that East Haven Police Lt. Joseph Murgo and North Haven Officer Val Queiroga identified him as the suspect in a Jan. 18, 2018 robbery of an Exxon gas station by providing “patently false” statements containing erroneous details about his history.
Arcangelo claims Murgo doesn’t like him after they grew up together and that Queiroga “harbored ill feelings” after dating and breaking up with his sister, according to the Register.
