Wallingford Mayor Decides Political Future
Republican William W. Dickinson Jr. has served as mayor since 1983.

Wallingford Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr. has announced he will run for a 17th consecutive two-year term in the town’s top spot.
Dickinson, who has been mayor since 1983, announced his decision to the Republican Town Council on Wednesday night and did so dressed as a soldier from the colonial era, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
Dickinson compared Wallingford and the state’s economy to the days of the American Revolution and said the town is confronted with “change and we’re adapting,” according to the Record-Journal.
