Wallingford Names New Deputy Police Chief
The vacancy was created when Chief William Wright was promoted in February.

Lieutenant Marc Mikulski has been promoted to Deputy Chief of Police, filling the vacancy created when Chief William J. Wright was promoted to the top spot in February.
Wright made the announcement in a press release on Wednesday.
Mikulski, who most recently served as Public Information Officer, has been with the Wallingford Police Department for the past 28 ½ years.

Mikulski joined the department in 1987 as a patrolman. Over the course of his tenure, Mikulski has held numerous positions and assignments, including Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Executive Officer of the Emergency Services Unit, Patrol Division Lieutenant, Commander of the Records and Evidence Division, Administrative Lieutenant and the Public Information Officer.
For the last three years, Mikulski has been assigned as the Commander of the agency’s Detective Division.

Mikulski holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management and a Masters Degree in Business. He is also a graduate of FBI’s National Academy in Virginia.
Mikulski has also been an adjunct professor at Middlesex Community College for the last six years, lecturing in the Criminal Justice Program.
