Wallingford Nursing Home Fined: Report

WALLINGFORD, CT — Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford was recently fined $2,150 by the state Department of Public Health in connection to two incidents that involved the same resident last fall, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.

Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports an investigation found that the center had failed to show the resident was properly medicated for a wound related to an ulcer. Separately, it was discovered that the resident missed 30 doses of a prescribed blood-thinning medication over a 15-day period, according to Rosner.
