Wallingford Nursing Home Fined: Report
The state Department of Public Health recently fined six nursing homes in the state for various violations.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford was recently fined $3,900 by the state Department of Public Health in connection to an incident in which a resident developed a severe pressure ulcer, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports that a pressure-reducing cushion that was recommended for the resident was under-inflated on multiple occasions and documentation failed to show that staff was monitoring its inflation for several months.
A spokesperson told Rosner that Masonicare disagreed with the health department’s findings but would comply with the fine.
