Wallingford Nursing Home Fined For Resident's Fall
The resident fell and broke a shinbone in the incident.
Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford was one of five nursing homes recently fined by the state Department of Public Health.
Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports Masonicare was fined $1,300 after a resident fell and broke a shinbone.
The resident, who suffers from congestive heart failure and dementia, requires two-person assistance when using the bathroom but fell when only one nursing assistant moved the client, according to the report.
