Wallingford Police Arrest Man Accused of Attempting to Pick Up 12 Pounds of Marijuana in the Mail

Clifton Knight, 38, of Hartford was arrested Tuesday.

Wallingford police arrested a Hartford man Tuesday for allegedly trying to pick up 12 pounds of marijuana in two packages that were sent to a private mailbox in town, according to the Meriden Record Journal.

Police, who worked in conjunction with local U.S. Postal Inspection Services, arrested Clifton Knight, 38, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of over 40 ounces of marijuana, according to the Record-Journal.
