Wallingford Police Arrests Include Strangulation, Drinking While Driving Charges

The following information has been provided by the Wallingford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

Anthony Velazquez, 33, of North St., Hamden, was arrested Dec. 24 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny.

Amy Lee Rivera, 32, of Craftwood Rd., Waterbury, was arrested Dec. 24 on charges of interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, fifth-degree larceny and operating under suspension.

Brian Lewis, 37, of Briarwood Lane, Branford, was arrested Dec. 24 on charges of operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, possession of less than ½ ounce of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Michael Daniels, 45, of Kenny Drive, New Haven, was arrested Dec. 24 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny.

John Sweeney, 45, of North St., Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 25 on charges of first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree assault, second-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree breach of peace.

Jamie Hess, 36, of Runge Drive, Meriden, was arrested Dec. 26 on charges of second-degree breach of peace and vehicle driven with intent to harass or intimidate.

Mark Kesilewski Sr., 52, of Old Colony Rd., Meriden, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Kevin Strain Jr., 33, of South Orchard St., Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and failure to wear safety belt.

Brian Mills, 39, of North Cherry St., Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of third-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Melissa Carpenter, 37, of Kondracki Lane, Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of risk of injury to a child and second-degree breach of peace.

Michelle L. Huntington, 41, of Kondracki Lane, Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of risk of injury to a child and second-degree breach of peace.

Cynthia Bielawski, 54, of Andrews St., New Britain, was arrested Dec. 28 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny-shoplifting.

John Arnold Jr., 18, of Overlook Drive, Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 28 on charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia less than ½ ounce of marijuana, failure to have tail lamps or illuminated rear registration plates and operating under suspension.

Christopher Consiglio, 38, of Washington St., Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 29 on charges of drinking while driving, weapons in a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Andrew Barriger, 33, of Old Mill Lane, Plantsville, was arrested Dec. 29 on charges of operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and operating under suspension.

Jon Swebilius, 36, of Anchorage Drive, Milford, was arrested Dec. 29 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny.

Erin Hastings, 37, of Spring St., Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 29 on charges of second-degree breach of peace and sixth-degree larceny.

Benny Goodman, 22, of White St., Hartford, was arrested Dec. 30 on charges of sale of hallucinogen/narcotic, possession of narcotics, sale of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance / ½ ounce to less than 4 ounces of marijuana, conspiracy/possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces, conspiracy/possession with intent to sell/distribute narcotics, illegal operation of motor vehicle without ignition device and operation of motor vehicle with tint/darkened windows without tinting sticker.

Hennesey Rivera-Torres, 20, of White St., Hartford, was arrested Dec. 30 on charges of criminal attempt: possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance / ½ ounce to less than 4 ounces of marijuana and sale of controlled substance.

George Zito Jr., 56, of West Prospect St., New Haven, was arrested Dec. 30 on charges of operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, failure to drive in proper lane and failure to have lights lit and devices illuminated.

Haydee Hernandez, 35, of Congress Avenue, Waterbury, was arrested Dec. 30 on charges of possession of less than ½ ounce of cannabis, use/possession of drug paraphernalia less than ½ ounce of marijuana and operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

Daisy Techer, 45, of Hanover Rd., Meriden, was arrested Dec. 31 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny.

Joseph Yaccarino, 32, of Hartford Turnpike, North Haven, was arrested Dec. 31 on charges of sixth-degree larceny and possession of a controlled substance/ ½ ounce to less than 4 ounces of marijuana.

Jeremy Whitney, 29, of Durham Rd., Wallingford, was arrested Dec. 31 on charges of possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and failure to drive right.
