Wallingford Police Blotter: Jan. 18 Through Jan. 24, 2020

WALLINGFORD, CT — The following information has been provided by the Wallingford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

James Barnard, 34, of South Orchard Street, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 18 on a charge of second-degree breach of peace. He was released on a promise to appear in court on March 31, according to state judicial records.

Jason R. Lasky, 40, of East Center Street, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 20 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to drive upon right and operating under suspension. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of March 6.

David J. Sylvia, 56, of North Broad Street, Meriden, was arrested Jan. 22 on charges of third-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree larceny and tampering with motor vehicle. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of March 4.

Joel Reyes, 28, of Putnam Avenue, Hamden, was arrested Jan. 22 on a charge of violation of protective order. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of April 16.

Rebecca R. Scoran, 34, of Fair Street, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 22 on charges of failure to keep narcotic in original container, possession of controlled substance or less than ½ ounce of cannabis, failure to use seatbelt in front seat and operating with handheld phone/electronic device. She was released on a promise to appear in court on March 16.

Cody Young, 26, of River Road, Hamden, was arrested Jan. 22 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs, illegal carry firearm under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of controlled substance or less than ½ ounce of cannabis, operating under suspension and improper rear/marker lamps. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of March 18.

Hector J. Gomez, 39, of West Spring Street, West Haven, was arrested Jan. 23 on charges of sixth-degree larceny and use/possession of drug paraphernalia less than ½ ounce of marijuana. He was additionally charged with probation violation. He is being held on a $1,000 bond with a court date of March 9.

Daniel T. Bernardo, 48, of Sunrise Circle, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 23 on charges of risk of injury to child and second-degree breach of peace. He was released after posting a $200 bond with a court date of March 19.

Chuckie P. Prentiss, 45, of Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 23 on charges of possession of less than ½ ounce of cannabis, use/possession of drug paraphernalia less than ½ ounce of marijuana, operating without a license, operating under suspension, operating without insurance, operating unregistered motor vehicle, failure to display plates/inserts, improper use-marker/license/registration and four counts of second-degree failure to appear. He was released after posting bonds totaling $12,000. A re-arrest was ordered Feb. 6, according to state judicial records.

Benjamin M. Plourde, 37, of South Elm Street, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 23 on a charge of fifth-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $1,500 bond with a court date of March 20.

Wendy M. Shaw, 37, of Ferry Street, New Haven, was arrested Jan. 23 on charges of first-degree criminal trespass, sixth-degree larceny and four counts of second-degree failure to appear. She is being held on a $1,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 21.

Michael Pettway, 27, of Southmayd Road, Waterbury, was arrested Jan. 23 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of March 12.

Marie E. Scanlon, 63, of Jennifer Lane, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 24 on a charge of disorderly conduct. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 27.

Bradley W. McRoberts, 27, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was arrested Jan. 24 on a charge of extradition arrest no warrant. He was released after posting a $150,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 26.

Jason M. Christopher, 43, of Raven Lane, Wallingford, was arrested Jan. 24 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to drive in proper lane and tinted auto glass requirements. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond with a court date of March 16.

John Ferrara, 49, of Cornwall Avenue, Prospect, was arrested Jan. 24 on charges of drinking while driving, operating under suspension – alcohol and speeding. He was released on a promise to appear in court on March 16.
