Wallingford Police Charge Man with Armed Bank Robbery
Police say the man has been linked to several other bank robberies throughout the state.
Wallingford Police have charged a 41-year-old man with the armed robbery of the TD Bank on North Turnpike in 2014.
Police arrested Patryk Kornas on Tuesday following an extensive investigation conducted by the Wallingford Police Department’s Detective Division with the assistance of the New Haven office of the FBI.
Kornas entered the TD Bank located at 7 North Turnpike Road at about 6:04 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2014 and approached the counter and displayed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun to one of the cashiers and demanded money, Sgt. Eric Fuller said in a press release.

Kornas obtained several thousand dollars from TD Bank and fled the area.
Kornas was also linked to several other bank robberies throughout the state, according to Fuller.

Kornas is currently incarcerated for other various bank robberies and is being held on an additional $200,000 court-set bond stemming from Tuesday’s arrest, according to Fuller.
