Wallingford Police Follow Fluid Trail to Find Hit-and-Run Suspect
A Meriden man was charged with crashing his car onto Beaumont Farm and fleeing the scene.
Wallingford Police have charged a Meriden man with crashing his car onto Beaumont Farm, taking out two traffic signs in the process, and then fleeing the scene early Wednesday morning, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Steven Woodbury, 31, of 273 Parker Avenue, Meriden, was arrested in connection to the incident at the corner of South Airline Road and East Center Street in Wallingford.
Police, who responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m., found the car’s license plate among the debris of the crash and followed a trail of fluids that led to a condominium complex in Wallingford.
