Wallingford Police Search for Car Burglary Suspects
More cars were reportedly broken into overnight Friday and a suspect vehicle fled from police.

Wallingford Police are searching for the suspects that broke into a vehicle on Clifton Street early Friday morning and fled in a car that was reported stolen out of North Haven.
Police are also investigating reports of six vehicles in the area of Clifton Street that were illegally entered during the early morning hours, some resulting in the theft of personal items, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.
Wallingford Police were dispatched to a Clifton Street residence at about 3:40 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 on the report of a theft from a vehicle.

Bradley said the victim reported that she heard her car alarm activated and when she went outside to check on her vehicle, noticed that it had been burglarized.
Several officers responded to the area in search of the suspects.

One of the officers observed a black Honda Accord bearing CT registration 393ENH being driven in the area. The officer initiated her lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle on South Colony Road, but, the operator failed to stop.
The operator then accelerated and engaged the officer in a short pursuit that was terminated due to the speed of the fleeing vehicle.
Bradley said the vehicle was last seen entering the Wharton Brook Connector, which is the entrance ramp for 91 North and South.
A subsequent check on the registration plate revealed that the 2001 Honda Accord was reported stolen out of North Haven on October 25, 2015, according to Bradley.
